First off we are very happy to announce the LVST coaching staff for the 2012 season:

Amanda Larson Co-Head Coach

We are pleased to announce that Jack Naylor and Amanda Larson will be sharing the Head Coach duties for the 2012 season.   Our head coach from last season, Kristin Lahey, has moved on to a career position in marketing.  We wish her well and thank her for her contribution.

Jack returns for his 3^rd year of coaching the Lightning!  He will to continue developing our swimmers and building their skills.    Jack swam for the WaterDevils, he swam for Terra Linda High School (NCS qualifier) and then swam for Boston College (Big East finalist in the 200 breast).  Jack is studying for his MBA and wants a career split between financial planning and swim coaching.  He is looking forward to seeing everyone back in the pool.

Amanda is returning for her 2^nd year of coaching the Lightning!   She will continue to help each swimmer attain their individual and team goals.  Amanda graduated from UC Berkeley this past May and had been a member of the Cal Women’s Swimming and Diving Team, which won the 2009 and 2011 National Championships.  Amanda was on the 2009 team and a coach on the 2011 team.  She has worked as a swim instructor for Cal Athletics Camp and for the Summer Darts in Davis.  Amanda is currently looking for work.  She speaks Spanish fluently.  Amanda is looking forward to another great season with LVST.

Registration opens Jan 3, 2012

We are still finalizing our calendar for the upcoming seasons events.  We’ll send out a communication once we have everything scheduled.   In the meantime here are some dates for you to be aware of:

January 3rd – Online registration begins

February 3rd – Meet our coaching staff for the LVST 2012 season

February 5^th – Free Swim Clinic

February -  Sign-ups for Volunteer duties, we will be sending a link closer to that date.

March 5^th – First day of LVST practice

Two New Board Members
