One of the following positions fulfills a family’s volunteer obligation for the season.

- Awards Coordinator: Purchase meet ribbons, maintain inventory during season and purchase and deliver year-end awards. Procures trophies for Awards Night. Works with Coaches, Computer Rep and Board to obtain complete list of trophies and awards for all swimmers. Works with trophy vendor to select appropriate trophies, medals and ribbons for each award. Must be present at Awards Night ceremony. Following Awards night works with vendor to correct any errors or omissions.
- Computer Representative: Update team meet software, enter team roster, advise coaches on meet seeding, exchange seeding info with other teams, print & post heat sheets, print all meet reports for home meets, prints team stats for coaches, etc.
- Dixie Daycare Walkers (5) and Coordinator (1): Walk swimmers to and from Dixie Daycare and swim practice while school is in session. Five escorts are needed – one for each day of the week. Daily time commitment is from 2:45pm – 5:45pm on average. Coordinator is responsible for setting and maintaining the schedule, training, filling in on days when back up is required. Coordinator will also help communicate any changes in practice times for picture days, Thunderthon, etc.
- Parent Handbook Editor: Prepares content and arranges for printing and distribution of handbook to include meet information, roster, calendar of events, advertising, etc.
- Set-up Coordinator: Arrives early to supervise and assists Set-up Volunteers. Prior experience as part of set-up crew is required.
- Shut-down Coordinator: Stays after meet to supervise and assist Shut-down Volunteers. Prior experience as part of the Shut-down crew is required.
- Slide Show Coordinator: Organizes slide show for awards night to commemorate the season’s events.
- Snack Bar Coordinator (2 needed): Coordinate all snack bar procedures, purchasing and activities for meets and all events. Previous experience working snack bar is recommended.
- Oversees and coordinates the team snack bar
- Checks inventory of supplies prior to time trials (plates, napkins, forks, etc.)
- Maintains inventory records
- Determines quantities to buy according to size of both teams & weather
- Coordinates shopping and food preparation. Needs to be reachable by phone on Friday.
- Supervises Snack Bar Volunteers during meet
- Oversees snack bar on day of meet from morning set-up to end of meet cleanup (coordinators each choose a half to oversee)
- Responsible for cash box during meet
- Takes inventory at end of meet
- Supervises clean up
- Swim School Coordinator: Assist coaches in coordinating private and group swim lessons.
- Thunderthon Coordinator: This creative & enthusiastic volunteer organizes and supervises all aspects of our 3rd annual Thunderthon fundraiser. Responsibilities include, but not limited to; announcing and organizing the pledge drive, soliciting for and securing the prizes, organizing and supervising the lap counters and other volunteers, collecting the pledges and presenting the prizes.
- Volunteer Coordinator: Monitor volunteer assignments throughout season. Prepares volunteer assignment sheet and contacts all volunteers with reminders before each meet.
- Webmaster: Update meet and event information on web site, including Lane Assignments (“Lineups”) and Volunteer lists. Post results, photos and other information after the meets.
